Gratitude

I know that its not Thanksgiving yet, but as I was thinking of what to post about, I thought this would fit in with the Holidays coming up. This is a time of year where we reflect even more so on the things that we have been given and how grateful we should be. So, I want to take this time to just list some things that I am grateful for.


I am grateful for my own little family, which is made up of Roberto and I for now.

I am grateful for my parents and my siblings, and pretty much anyone else I call family.

I am grateful for the gospel of Jesus Christ, my Savior and my Heavenly Father.

I am grateful for friendship and happiness that comes from having good friends.

I am grateful for the country I live in, the freedoms I have and the peaceful happy life I live.


There are obviously a million things I could write, but for now, that will do. Hope everyone has a great Thanksgiving, and that we will show an attitude of gratitude.

Hello there to all our family and friends. This is our first blog and we are excited to join all you bloggers out there! Since this is the first post, I thought I would just give a quick summary of our life right now. Roberto and I are currently in Rexburg, Idaho where we are both attending BYU-Idaho. This time of year we are off from school, so Roberto is working, doing landscaping and taking two night classes and I am looking for a job. We have been married for a little over a year and we are loving every moment together. Looking for a job in Rexburg has been tough (I've been looking since July), but in the mean time it has been a great opportunity for me to learn and grow from those around me. Recently I was able to find a temporary position for someone handing out flyers for their new website. Their paying me $50 bucks to do it! So I'm glad it's something. Other than that, I usually visit other people who are home all day, so if you want company, let me know! :) Roberto

Hey! It's been a while, I know. We have been super busy with school and I also got to that point where I felt like I don't have anything exciting to post about. But then I remembered-its a blog and I can post about WHATEVER I want! So here I go writing another post just because. So school is just about done! We are in the last week before finals and its CRUNCH TIME. I can't believe how much time has passed by. Roberto will be done with his GE requirements after this semester and next semester will be my last semester on campus! I have received my placement for Student Teaching this fall in Salt Lake City. Its so CRAZY how fast it all goes by, hopefully all will go as planned and I will be a college graduate in December! :) I will keep you all updated as time goes on. I am SO looking forward to the break after this semester is done. We will be leaving to go to Salt Lake to play with family!! He knows what's best

I'm sure everyone has heard that God knows what's best for us, and that's why we don't always get what we want, when we want it, or even at all sometimes. These past three months I have learned this personally. IT IS TRUE! I was wanting a job so badly, applying everywhere and anything, and I was so sick of not having anything happen. But you know when something finally happened????? When I forgot about the whole deal, that's right, when I focused my mind on something else. During these past three months I truly learned that the key to forgetting about your problems, is focusing on other people. And now because of it, I know people so much better than I did before, and how much more important it is to me now to make those relationships. Anyway, today I got a phone call from the child and family resource center in Rexburg.
