My excuse

So I've been wanting to post since a while back now. Things were rearranged in our computer and pictures were moved to a different hard drive. SO I haven't had easy access to them, which is why I have not posted in so long. I've wanted to, but yeah it didn't happen. So here is my excuse post. Ha Ha. Hopefully I will figure this all out very, VERY soon and I WILL be posting about things that have happened in the past couple of months. So 'til then...

Graduation Celebration

Image
A couple of weekends back my family came into town for my graduation. Some of you already know that I technically graduated last December, but decided to walk this April due to my son being born that very same weekend. It's funny because I found out that they dedicated the BYU-I center the very same day he was born-December 17, 2010. Isn't that cool? Anyway, here are some pictures of that day. :) I DID IT!

Jessica Cedeño BAKES?

So a while back we had some bananas that were getting very ripe and I thought to myself- I haven't tried making banana bread yet, maybe I'll save those for that. So a couple days later I throw the bananas in the freezer. Days pass and I look for a recipe and make sure I get everything I need to make the bread. Sunday comes and I say- I want to make that bread now. So I get the bananas out and look at the recipe only to find that I am missing a very important ingredient-baking soda. So I put the bananas back in the freezer and make a note that I need to buy baking soda. A few days later I finally have everything I need to make the bread-so I made it, and let me tell you, it was GOOD. I thought I was eating something that someone else with years experience had made. I couldn't believe that it came out that well on the first try. You can imagine how happy Roberto was about this. :D It makes me confident to try other recipes too. I don't love to cook, but I like t...

Because he's just so dang CUTE

I'm coming to get you! I told you he's been drooling. Here's the proof. He looks so grown up in his jacket. So distinguished. My little man is getting more and more animated every day. I love to hear him laugh. We are SO LUCKY to have him.

My thumb sucker

Samuel is growing up too fast! Look at this guy sucking on his thumb. He makes me laugh. Last week was his first trip to the doctor since we've been in Rexburg and he got his lovely 2 month shots. Oh he just loved that. Poor little guy was in so much pain afterwards, he didn't want to eat, all he wanted was to be held and when he made the slightest movement with his legs, he would cry the most heartbreaking cry ever. Later that night I decided he needed Tylenol and after that he was so happy he was kicking his legs again like nothing else! He's weighing 14lbs. and is 24 inches long. What a chunk! I'm glad he's breastfeeding so well, its nice to have that time with him. :) He now likes to wiggle as much as he can, makes noises and drools like crazy. I just LOVE being his Mommy. Oh and I finally caught him giggling on video, so that will be a post very soon!

Blessing

On Sunday, February 6, 2011 Samuel was blessed by his father Roberto. It was so much fun to have our family come to celebrate with us this special occasion. They all arrived on Saturday and we spent the day with them showing them campus. (what else right? haha) Later that night we had dinner and watched a movie. We got some air mattresses so that they could sleep in the living room and in Samuel's room. Sunday morning we all went to church. Roberto did a beautiful job blessing our son. He did part of the blessing in Spanish and that's when I felt the spirit so strong it brought tears. :) It was an awesome day. Later on that day we ate together and then my family said goodbye. Oh it was hard to see them go. I wish that we could be able to spend more time together. I am grateful that we had that time together and that it went so well. My baby is now 2 months old! AH! Someone make time stop!!

V-day Weekend

Image
This valentine's day landed on a Monday. nice. So of course we mostly celebrated over the weekend. On Saturday, we went to a dance that our stake put on. It was pretty fun. Yes, we took Samuel with us and it went just fine. They provided a nursery but we just kept him with us in his carrier. We actually got to dance! Our stake president's wife kindly offered to hold him while we danced. It was nice. He behaved so well too. I was surprised he didn't make a sound the whole time she was holding him. Then on the actual v-day we just stayed home and had dinner together. I made sweet and sour chicken which is one of Roberto's favorite dishes. yum. I also made some brownies and we watched a cheesy love movie called "The Perfect Man". The movie isn't that great, but it makes me laugh and we thought it was the perfect thing to watch on v-day. Yes, Hilary Duff isn't that great of an actress. No offense girl. lol. My Mom got Samuel a onesie and bib that says ...
