Hello there to all our family and friends. This is our first blog and we are excited to join all you bloggers out there! Since this is the first post, I thought I would just give a quick summary of our life right now. Roberto and I are currently in Rexburg, Idaho where we are both attending BYU-Idaho. This time of year we are off from school, so Roberto is working, doing landscaping and taking two night classes and I am looking for a job. We have been married for a little over a year and we are loving every moment together. Looking for a job in Rexburg has been tough (I've been looking since July), but in the mean time it has been a great opportunity for me to learn and grow from those around me. Recently I was able to find a temporary position for someone handing out flyers for their new website. Their paying me $50 bucks to do it! So I'm glad it's something. Other than that, I usually visit other people who are home all day, so if you want company, let me know! :) Roberto...
Hey there! Its been a long time again since I have written on this family blog. Now that I think of it, this blog has become a type of a personal journal for me, and it makes sense, since I am the one writing on this blog, and I think that's ok. So the last time I wrote, I was actually going through another manic episode...it had become clear that I was definitely Bipolar. The difference this time was that I was pregnant with our third child and it was a girl! We were so excited, especially since this pregnancy occurred naturally. I was hospitalized for a week or so, and it was brutal. It was a very trying time for our family. I am very grateful to say that we made it through. Today my daily routine includes taking lithium and abilify in order to manage my Bipolar disorder. I'm happy to report that I haven't had an episode since being put on medication. It's been great! We had another great day together as a family here in the beautiful community of Daybreak. The weather makes us want to go outside and play a lot. We are grateful for Roberto's flexible work schedule and his availability to take us out and spend time with us. I feel like we are starting from the beginning again. I was telling my mom this afternoon, that instead of feeling like I should be celebrating Abram's first birthday, it feels like it has been two or more years that have past, because of all of the illness, both physical and mental that I have experienced in the past year. Honestly, though, going through all of the pain and suffering and testing and trial of our love and relationship, has made it mean that much more to us and has given me a more firm testimony of the gospel of Jesus Christ and of my eternal marriage and partnership with Roberto, the love of my life. I am so grateful for modern medicine, for psychiatrists and for technology. I want to take a min...
