This past Friday, after a long day at school, I came home to find this lovely little gift in the living room. Roberto was SO sweet! He had written a love letter and purchased one beautiful red rose. There's just something about letters from your special someone. I felt so loved. :) That same night we went out to eat at the famous Craigo's pizza place here in Rexburg. It was good. After which we went to see the animated disney movie 'The Princess and the Frog'. It was the perfect v-day movie for us to see. So funny and cute, I recommend it to you disney-loving people out there. On Valentines day as my gift to Roberto, I made some sweets, which doesn't seem like that big of a deal, but if you know us, it is. lol. I'm not the type of person to just bake cookies or make a cake ever so often.Roberto LOVES sweets, and takes advantage of any opportunity to get some because I'm not Betty Crocker and I make sure he's not eating so much of it every single day. This past weekend, Roberto and I made a trip to Utah to go my friend Kirsten's wedding reception. Kirsten and I went to high school together and were in the same stake in Salt Lake. I am so happy she got married in the temple! She and Jeff got sealed at the Draper Temple. :) Here I am with another friend that went to school with us, her name is Carrie. I love her! She and I were 'honorary bridesmaids'. It was fun to visit with friends. Here we are at a table. The lovely cake. Kirsten & Jeff doing their dance. This past Christmas and New Years was great. We went to Salt Lake City and had Christmas Eve with Roberto's family and Christmas dinner with my parents. At Roberto's parents, we had a great feast, opened presents and danced the night away. At my parents house we did similar with dinner. Here are some pics: Mom and I eating Christmas Dinner. I have been doing lots of thinking lately, pondering my life and where its headed. And in doing so I realized that I was overdoing it. No matter what, we can't plan life exactly as we think it should be. It seems that no matter where we are in life, what we have, we look at the things that we don't have or haven't accomplished yet, and just wish that we could be there already and that when it would happen we would be happier or that life would be just a little easier. So after I realized this, I thought to myself "Why just not make the most of what I have right now?" Why wait for something to happen in order for me to feel happy? Why not just enjoy life as it is right now? I don't know what is going to happen tomorrow, and if I am living for tomorrow, then I am going to miss out on today. So DON"T!! Tonight I went to the David Archuleta concert right here in Rexburg, Idaho in the Hart Auditorium at 7:30 p.m. and it was AMAZING! I am so thankful that I was able to go and with my wonderful friend Mirela! It was my first real celebrity concert ever and I LOVED IT!!! The rush of excitement when the first song David sang started was unbelievable, now I know why people scream. LOL. The Concert started off with Benton Paul, another LDS artist who is great! He sings songs similar to the genre of Gavin Degraw, Jason Mraz and the Fray. And then after an half hour intermission, David took the floor!!! :) He is AMAZING in concert, I was blown away by his energy and charisma and overall presence on stage, he really is such a sweet down to earth teenager. Its awesome. Half the concert was his pop/soul songs from his hit album David Archuleta and the other half were songs from his new album Christmas from the Heart. So while we were in Utah, I wanted to play photographer and take some snapshots of the family. So here are some of them! Enjoy. This Thanksgiving, we went to Salt Lake City to visit family. For those of you who don't know, our families are both in Salt Lake, they actually live within a block of each other. This Thanksgiving we had dinner with my family. My Mom made a delicious feast and I helped by making the biscuits below and helping out with her famous potato salad. It was so good! Here are a picture of the biscuits: We were in Salt Lake for a total of five days and it flew by so fast! We loved being able to spend time with family and eat and eat and EAT! haha We are looking forward to spending Christmas with Roberto's family. In case anyone is wondering, obviously we still visit both families every time we go. :) I'll be putting up more pictures of the festivities in the post right after this one.
