The rest of 2013

Hello again!

I wanted to sum up what else happened the rest of last year. The holidays were good. Thanksgiving and Christmas was spent here with both families. Samuel turned 3! We celebrated with a low key family party. I also had a play date the day of (which was a Tuesday) at our apartment and invited a few friends that he knows really well. They had such a good time and all I did was bake cookies! I think I've decided to keep birthdays simple. Once he's old enough to tell me what he specifically wants to do, then I'll do my best to grant his wishes.

Speaking of Samuel, he is such a sweet heart. I love him to pieces. He loves to sing and dance, like me. So he'll do duets with me if he's in the mood. It's awesome. He talks so much more now, it's like he's a real person. He is obsessed with Lightning McQueen and plays with his cars while saying the lines from the movie Cars. Ha Ha. I love the fact that he can tell me so much now, it's less of a mystery figuring out what he's trying to say. He's my little buddy. Even though he's so big, he still loves on me like he's a little baby. Hugs and kisses all the time. I'm so lucky.

Roberto spent these last months working on a huge project at work building a database structure. He has done so well in this field, I am so happy for him! He's been a little anxious to move out of Utah, he'd rather be somewhere warmer, that and he's just itching for a change in scenery. Not that that's going to happen anytime soon, at least it's not in our plans. We will be moving though, just not out of state, to a different city. My parents are renting out their basement to us. The plan is to save money for a down payment on a house. It'll take at least a year and a half, maybe less, depending on how much we save. It's exciting to think about.

Like last year, we spent new years eve at my brother in law's place. Well, during the day we went to Hollywood Connection; we rode on rides, went skating, played arcade games, etc. At Ben's place we played games and ate food. It was fun! We had a great time. 2013 was a good year. We were blessed tremendously through Roberto's employment. Having our families close to us was another great blessing, especially during my hospitalization. I have seen God's hand in our lives and I am extremely grateful.
