I LOVE THIS BOY He's 6 weeks today. Time flies even faster now. I am grateful for every moment I have with him. When he looks at me with his big grin and those sparkly eyes, I know that there is nothing better than the way I feel at that instant. It is amazing. THIS is what it's all about.

It's hard to believe that in just two more days my little baby Samuel will be one month old. It has been wonderful having him with us in our home. Just today he SMILED at me for the very first time. I was looking at him with the same type of face he likes to make, eyes wide open and mouth puckered into an o. Then all of a sudden he smiled at me! :) I LOVE my baby. It was so funny. I will try to get it on video soon (if I'm lucky). Then you can all see his beautiful smile. Another thing that just happened a couple of days ago is his beautiful hair is falling off. So he looks a little silly with his balding spot on the top of his head. ha ha. Oh the joy of being a little baby and doing everything for the first time. It is so exciting to see him do new things every day. We'll see what other fun thing he'll do next.

Hello again! We are now settled back in Rexburg, Idaho in our very nice new apartment in Hyde Park. Today is the first day of school for Roberto and the first day for me and Samuel home together. This is the beginning of a new chapter in our lives. It is crazy to think that months have passed and we are back in Idaho. Our time in Salt Lake was well spent. It was great to be there with so many things happening for our family. I was able to see my brother Daniel leave on a mission, the first to do so in our family. What a great experience that was. I am so proud of him. I also got to celebrate my father's 50th birthday with our family and friends. We threw a surprise party for him, it was great! And of course to top it all off, I was able to have my first baby right there with my family with me. My parents are so proud to be called grandparents now. I love them so much and am so grateful for their love and support. So now here I am, a mom. Whoa. It's crazy to think about it, but ...

Well we've been 'home' for a couple of days now and I still can't believe everything that has happened up until now. That the precious little baby boy I hold in my arms is mine and that now Roberto and I are parents, wow. It truly is the most humbling experience, I am in such awe. We are very, very happy. So I'm sure you want details as to how Samuel was born so here it goes. On Thursday, Dec. 16 which is the exact due date I was given, at 5:30ish in the morning I wake up to find that I have "bloody show", which I kept on having throughout the day. I also started feeling some mild contractions that come maybe every 20 to 30 minutes that feel like menstrual cramps. So Roberto, my mom and I decide to go to the mall to walk. The day passes on and the contractions kept coming, slowly getting stronger and closer together. Since I didn't want to go to the hospital early and be sent home, I figured I would go when the contractions were about 3-5 mins apart fo...

Samuel Roberto Cedeno was born on December 17th 2010. Weighed: 8 lbs Length: 22.5 inches long We are very happy! Welcome Samuel, we love you.

Hello friends! I am back now that I am DONE with student teaching and can totally focus on the next task at hand: the birth of my baby! So many things are running through my mind when I think about having this baby and feeling totally prepared before he comes. How do I know if I have everything I need? etc. Since I'm in a different and unique situation- giving birth and bringing my baby to a home that's not mine and then having to move weeks later- AH!! It scares me. I know, just relax, I am not alone. I will have the support and help of my husband, mom and mother in law (and many others). It's all going to work out. Somehow. This is pretty much what we have planned. We will have our apartment in Idaho available to us by December 7th. Once this happens, Roberto will go to Idaho and move our things from storage to the apartment and other things that we can do without(that we have with us here in Utah) until we move in later after the baby's birth.
