Our son, the boy who had 2 birthday parties

Hello again!! It's almost the end of January and here I am about to post about the middle of December. Yeah, life is that good. :D

So our little man Samuel turned a year old this past December and we had a great time celebrating. Since his birthday landed on a Saturday and was right after Roberto was done with his semester of school, we decided we would have his official birthday party in Utah with our family since we were planning on being there for Christmas.

But we live in Idaho and have some great friends here as well, so I couldn't just blow them off, I had to give them a chance to party with us too. So we had a get together at our place a week before his actual birthday.

Funny thing is, he enjoyed himself a lot more at the pre-birthday party than at the actual big party we had at Utah. He totally dug into his cake at the first party and then at the second party he didn't even touch the cupcake I put in front of him. Roberto ended up just putting frosting on his face to see if he'd get into it, but nope. But all in all, everything turned out great.

Hello there to all our family and friends. This is our first blog and we are excited to join all you bloggers out there! Since this is the first post, I thought I would just give a quick summary of our life right now. Roberto and I are currently in Rexburg, Idaho where we are both attending BYU-Idaho. This time of year we are off from school, so Roberto is working, doing landscaping and taking two night classes and I am looking for a job. We have been married for a little over a year and we are loving every moment together. Looking for a job in Rexburg has been tough (I've been looking since July), but in the mean time it has been a great opportunity for me to learn and grow from those around me. Recently I was able to find a temporary position for someone handing out flyers for their new website. Their paying me $50 bucks to do it! So I'm glad it's something. I really don't want to talk about this because I feel like a broken record. Some of you may already know about this struggle I am about to spill over about. Why am I writing this? I don't know for sure really. Maybe it's for me. Maybe it's for you. Well, here it goes. Why is the title of my post "2 years ago"? Well, that's because that's how long I've been waiting. That's how long I've been wanting. Yes, I want another child. Why hasn't it happened yet? I'm not sure. A LOT has happened in the past 2 years. My body has gone through A LOT just this past year alone (Addison's). I understand that. Kind of. But it still doesn't change how I feel about having another baby. This past weekend we had Stake Conference (it's a bigger church meeting) and at the Saturday evening session, a woman shared a story about her daughter, who had to wait 11 years to adopt her 2 children and have them sealed to her in the temple.
